Take a deep breath and keep reading…The words appeal and action plan are used frequently in this guide. They are essentially the same thing. The appeal refers to ALL the information you are submitting to Amazon; whereas, the action plan is the steps you are taking to improve.(which is part of the appeal) Why Your Amazon Seller Account Was SuspendedThere are many reasons why Amazon seller accounts get suspended. The most common reason is poor performance. Other reasons include having more than one Amazon seller account and selling counterfeit products. If your account was suspended due to poor performance, then this guide is for you. What You Need To Do To Get Your Account ReinstatedTo get reinstated, you need to appeal to Amazon. The purpose of the appeal is to let Amazon know that you understand why your account was suspended and what you are going to do to improve.First, you need to look at your Account Health and identify which of the metrics are failing. To do this, go to the Performance tab and click on Account Health underneath. Metrics that are commonly poor are Order Defect Rate and Late Shipment Rate.Second, think about the cause of the poor metrics and what you can do to improve them.Third, state what you are going to do to improve or to make sure you do not make the same mistakes. How To Write An Appeal To AmazonWhen you logged into your Amazon seller account, did a box pop up letting you know that your account was suspended? There should be a link you can click on at the end of the ‘account suspended’ notice. Click on that link and it will bring you to the Appeal screen.Your appeal should state which metrics are poor and the cause. I believe there are two main reasons this has happened:1. The order defect rate is the primary cause. The short term and long term defect rate are 4.65% and 3.17% respectfully. These values exceed the order defect rate goal of less than 1%.2. Negative feedback, A-Z claims, and Return Dissatisfaction Rate are the main causes of the high order defect rate.I believe the high order defect rate is due to our slow response time to customer communications and customer returns. Below are the actions we have implemented to improve our order defect rate.Plan of Action: We are taking the following steps to improve our performance:1. All returns will be authorized within 48 hours2. All returns, A-Z claims, and buyer questions will be responded to within 24 hours3. All negative feedbacks will be responded to within 24 hoursEND
